I have been running Windows 7 now since the first beta and have updated to the Release version that is available on Technet. One of the things that I have noticed on the Laptops that I have Windows 7 installed on, was that the battery life seemed to be longer doing my normal tasks within windows. It turns out that this was not my imagination, but rather another improvement we can enjoy with the Windows 7 release. The link below compares battery life against Windows Vista and Windows 7. I would like to see Windows XP in the mix as well, to see how XP holds up in the Mix myself.
The important thing here to take from the article, is that Windows 7 is much better with Battery life than Vista, so if you are running Vista, do yourself a favor and get in line to update your system. And get anywhere from 10 to 20% back in battery life.
