And I’ve been hoping for it ever since I played it at The Geek’s house. At Comic-con, Behemoth (who’s former game was the destructive blast-fest Alien Hominid) has just announced it will be porting over it’s monster-killing, gate-smashing, 2-D side-scrolling slugfest Castle Crashers to PS3s everywhere through its PSN network, and I can’t wait. For those that don’t know, Castle Crashers is a 1-4 player beat-em-up where 4 knights fight the evil hoards of soldiers, monsters, and bosses in order to rescue their beloved princesses. They will have help from weapon upgrades, animal friends, magic spells, and levelling up, so as the hoardes become increasingly harder, so does your might to defeat them. Yeah, yeah, we know, been there – done that, right? Not like this.
What really gives CC its flavor of gaming goodness is in the online and co-op modes. After all, just how much fun CAN you have while slogging through enemy soldiers as you’re trying to get to his fortifications. Get your friends to back you up! Have one or two chip away at the stragglers while you blast a healthy portion of the throng with a recently received assault spell. And while you’re at it, once you and your friends are on an even playing field, or if they all lag behind your greatness, hit the arena and blast each other senseless for fun and coin! There’s even a food-gorging minigame to really show off your gluttony!
Of course, the game will support trophies for added collecting, but Behemoth is keeping mum about any exclusive content as of yet. What is certain is that the game will match whatever XBLA has to offer, so the initial bug trouble with XBLA’s online playability and other problems should be no trouble on the PSN release. Now we have to wait. Arrrghhhh….

Hey Drake
I heard that the PS3 did not have the horsepower to run this program. Someone is pulling your leg!
